415851 2005-12-25 21:30:00 Hi, My new corded mouse driver doesn't load 20% of the time. Have reinstalled latest driver, and the thing does work 80% of the time. It's a Razer Diamondback Plasma. Any ideas to make it work every time I start up?
Thanks in advance.... :)

It should work even without a driver - if its not a USB problem I'd RMA the mouse...

415853 2005-12-26 18:57:00 on xp no drivers are needed for normal use
any software supplied is only needed to enable any extra features the mouse may be capable of
sounds like the mouse is faulty

Thanks pctek. Yep, everyother usb item works. Eg. I plug in a cordless mouse thru a usb slot whenever the problem mouse doesnt work, and that operates immediately...
What is RMA the mouse?

Cheers. The times when it doesnt work, nothing on the mouse works at all. eg. the pretty blue colour doesnt illuminate and the mouse doesnt do its mousy things. Think I should look for a return to seller?

Return Material Authorization
a form some retailers require you to fill out when returning faulty goods
in other words
Take It Back

Yep, but I'd try it on another system for a couple of days just to make sure it's faulty
Give it to a m8 for a couple of days

415859 2005-12-27 04:10:00 Seeing as you say everything else works and the mouse doesn't even light up - it needs to be returned for replacement (RMA). pctek (84)
