| 415546 | 2005-12-24 17:13:00 | Hi, Can anybody help me with the following problem? I want to defragment a desktop pc running on Win 2000 SP4 wich has 2 partitions. The thing is both disk have more than 50% free space (this I am certain). When I press the analyse button, the indicator also says there is more than 50% free space. Now comes the catch: The color-indicator shows almost my entire partition is full with fragmented files (almost the entire indication bar is red). When I start the defragmentation process, it runs for about 2 hours and when it is finished, and I do another analyse, the result is the same as before... Does anybody know what is happening to this PC??? btw this is not the first pc I defragment, so it's not that I don't know what is happening, I just don't recognise this problem.... Thanx in advance!!!!!! |
