415737 2005-12-26 09:33:00 from my own experience.....if you have two adsl modems you CANNOT get online with one if the other is plugged in.........never mind if it's off.........it's gotta be UNPLUGGED........Minus all the ........'s my experience is the same. Greg (193)
415738 2005-12-26 23:02:00 Extension cords are not ideal for any kind of data, generally they have 4 or 6 wires and no twist, whereas current house wiring uses a cable with 2 twisted pairs. Untwisted wires can cause imbalances and are prone to interference. Double adapters can also cause problems.

That aside try swapping the cords & modems around and also the port on the double adapter.

If you are methodical and swap things around 1 at a time you should be able to identify the culprit.
