| 415738 | 2005-12-26 23:02:00 | Extension cords are not ideal for any kind of data, generally they have 4 or 6 wires and no twist, whereas current house wiring uses a cable with 2 twisted pairs. Untwisted wires can cause imbalances and are prone to interference. Double adapters can also cause problems. That aside try swapping the cords & modems around and also the port on the double adapter. If you are methodical and swap things around 1 at a time you should be able to identify the culprit. |
