| 415526 | 2005-12-24 15:27:00 | Unfortunately, I seem to have caught a Trojan virus (Exploit-ByteVerify) from [Edit: URL removed] among various spyware/adware. (Needless to say, DO NOT VISIT THAT WEBSITE.) I failed to remove the Trojan; and albeit the program Ad-Aware SE Personal alleges to have eliminated all spyware/adware on my system, I fear there remains some that have gone undetected, as my system is still a touch sluggish and I still receive an exorbitant amount of pop-ups. Please, can someone lend a hand? Thank you. Merry Christmas. |

Microsoft also have a patch against this vunerability - have you fully applied all MS security and critical patches? Have a read of our FAQ - Spyware, adware and viruses - how do I get rid of them? (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz 16) as well. Note: I have also removed the URL you posted as a hyperlink in your post to prevent anyone clicking it despite your warning. |
