| 416559 | 2005-12-29 23:19:00 | Instead of proper letters I am getting hundreds of little squares, when I try to print a document pdf file with Adobe reader version 6.0.1. Am using a brother laser printer model HL-1430 It is printing the images in the document OK. | ssssss (2100) | ||
| 416560 | 2005-12-29 23:26:00 | what font are you using? | Prescott (11) | ||
| 416561 | 2005-12-29 23:29:00 | I don't know how to find the type of font the document is in. It was a download from Paradise Net, though. | ssssss (2100) | ||
| 416562 | 2005-12-30 01:20:00 | It shouldn't matter what the font is; I'm picking that the problem is that Adobe Reader is printing to "not-a-Brother-HL-1430" printer. Use the File/Printer Setup menu in Reader to select the correct printer. Adobe Reader doesn't necessarily use the Windows default printer. |

Postscript tends to generate reams of garbage when it goes bad. If you're getting random "graphic" squares, or squares always in the same location for different documents, then it's going to be a RAM or driver problem. |

| 416564 | 2005-12-31 00:30:00 | Hi Graham L, Adobe Reader has the correct printer in its settings. I am getting around the problem by copying and pasting into Word, and printing that. Not all that satisfactory though. |

Hi Kingdragonfly, The little squares are where the letters should be. And by the way, the print preview before printing with Brother, looks OK. |

I love it. Also Cute pdf works great for converting anything to pdf.It is free and it works. These are from my own personal experience. | howardepgco (9451) | ||
