| 416401 | 2005-12-29 05:02:00 | Evening all , I've been trying all day to download Version 5.0 update6 from java.com - when I try the online install it fails as it's unable to download a file . The offline installation simply doesn't work - should be about 16 meg - downloads about 16k and the file isn't recognised as being a windows file . This has happened on both a Win98se and Win 2000 Pro computer . Perhaps a problem at Sun's end ? Any info appreciated , Mike |

| 416402 | 2005-12-29 06:07:00 | Looks like it might be a prob with Sun. It only downloads 15k when I try the offline install. This is using Opera. From here (java.com:80) I have the latest version on the hdd tho. I've used Opera before to download it, and it downloaded the full 16mb. I've sent Sun an email, to let them know that the offline install is only 15k not 16mb! |
