1396027 2015-03-08 23:13:00 I have my broadband through Spark/Xtra so have the free 12 month sub to Lightbox.... I tried using the Browser on my Panasonic smart TV but got the message that the browser needs to be updated or whatever.... does this mean that to watch Lightbox I need to use an HDMI cable with a laptop, tablet or other gadget.... TIA

1396028 2015-03-09 00:19:00 Lightbox is limited to Samsung Smart TVs, Sony PS3 or 4, Windows devices and Apple devices. Spark reckon that they will bring on board other devices in due course.
So the answer to your question is yes a laptop and HDMI cable is the way to go at the moment. I am running it through an old PS3 to my Sony Bravia Smart TV and it runs very nicely for me.

1396029 2015-03-09 00:35:00 Also some Samsung tablets at the moment and apparently Samsung Blu-ray or DVD players that feature smart hub can do it according to someone on geekzone. dugimodo (138)

1396031 2015-03-09 02:43:00 Didn't like my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet so I am currently set up to use my HP laptop.... Bought the Chromecast gadget but there must be something I am missing setting this up - will leave that for another day.

1396032 2015-03-09 04:06:00 Chromecast doesn't work with Lightbox. Great for Utube though. CliveM (6007)
