| 1395469 | 2015-03-01 02:55:00 | Hi all, got myself into trouble and I can't work it out, I was running win 7 on my laptop and I have got 3 win 7 system image cd's plus a repair cd, but not a win 7 installation disc from microsoft. I let someone else use my laptop whilst I was away, when i come back they said win 7 was going crazy so they installed XP on it, of course I wasn't happy so i formatted the drive using the XP cd, then I tried to using my system image discs to get back my win 7, hoping I could get win 7 back on it but nothing is working, something I am doing wrong or can't you use system image discs this way? So any help would be fantastic. thanks Leslie. |

| 1395471 | 2015-03-01 03:40:00 | Thanks for your reply, when i done them they were suppose to be bootable, how can i check ? A bit more info- When I put the first image disc in it just says- Non -System disc or disk error replace and strike any key when ready So I put in the win 7 repair disc in it says- windows is loading files, keyboard option comes up, then i get up to restoring then i get- The system image has failed Error details: the specified list of volumes to recover contains duplicates. | 1395475 | 2015-03-01 04:53:00 | It was a while ago now, but I followed the directions from a web page, probably a bad mistake as I thought they would be bootable. | Leslie (14058) | ||
