1383846 2014-09-14 03:18:00 Doesn't look too bad, but while enthralling myself with the eye candy, I don't think I'd be able to shake the feeling that someone's watching me... Agent_24 (57)
1383847 2014-09-14 04:25:00 Might be a new menu, but it still largely serves up tripe, even if it is labelled Fromage de Ballmer. ;) R2x1 (4628)
1383848 2014-09-14 04:37:00 The start menu :sleep Boringgggggg

That alone wont be enough for me to change to the New one, guess it will be wait and see what else is "new". OK, I'll have to get it see whats what, but thats what the free 90 day enterprise trial is for.

1383849 2014-09-14 21:45:00 Looks like a good compromise from the horrid metro screen in Win 8.x. Thankfully, Win 8.1 made it possible to avoid it almost entirely and is a decent OS. autechre (266)

Yep , its a start menu that shows tiles. So why bother ?
Again its MS telling us want we want , instead of giving us this 1 small thing :groan:
A Win7 type start menu would silence most of the critics, so why dont MS just put it back. It shows what they think of customers requests.
Sure , its easy enough to install one, but thats not the point.

Wasnt the start menu available on the Win8 'betas', only to be completely removed later (been a while , could be wrong)

i dont want a start menu
i dont want a start screen

run command does it for me

**** PINNED ON THE TASKBAR.

i do see in this new menu the pinned start menu items have been moved and metro merged.

they really tried to push their new APIs hard, scarificing a whole version of windows.

9 is 8.2 and they're idiots if they dont stick with 8.x till like 7 or 8 or something decent.

9.11 is going to explode.
