Maybe they'd be more comfortable in their own country too?If you can't learn basic English, you should certainly not have the privilege to vote. And while we are at it lets stop people on a benefit from voting as their dont contribute to society and people that have suffered mental illness as their cant think straight and while we are at it we will stop pensioners as well because their are mostly senile. | plod (107) | ||

While I'd usually agree, we need the pensioners to vote for Winnie otherwise we will have a Fruit-loop coalition that will destroy the NZ economy. |

| 1383753 | 2014-09-12 03:33:00 | I got my election letter today with the "EasyVote" card . On the back of it I was surprised to see instructions in 25 different languages (including Maori and Cook Island) . My question is, why do we need this translation? I was under the impression one had to proficient in English to become a citizen, right? In fact one would even need to take an IELTS test and pass to get a work permit . So, what gives? Well I just got my voting instructions today and blow me down if Maori isnt in two different dialects, but Swahili, spoken by over 140 million, isnt even there! Thats outrageous! What a crock of PCBS! :groan: |
