1383719 2014-09-11 03:56:00 I have a door opener that closes as well, washes the car and does many other useful tricks. She's sometimes a bit balky and slow to start on cold wet mornings though ;) R2x1 (4628)
1383720 2014-09-11 04:42:00 Lots of good ideas. Thanks guys.:thanks
BTW it is for the central tube.
Clean and dry sounds logical to me so will give that a go first.
Also like the rubber grease idea. I have plenty of that.
Also thought about spraying into a container but wasn't sure if it would work.
Once again thank you to all.:thanks

How on earth have you trained her to do that? After close on 50 years my SWMBO doesn't know how to put petrol in the car, let alone clean it!!

Any tips would be appreciated.

How do you lube her:D

1383724 2014-09-11 06:46:00 You might as well just forget the silicone sprays, you can get self-lubricating door opener mechanisms now. They're called arms and they run on elbow grease  Agent_24 (57)
1383725 2014-09-11 08:42:00 "Next meal is after you finish." I found that the tazer was a bit counterproductive, she had a reduced work output for about 20 min after each jolt. ;)

Very cautiously indeed. ;)

1383727 2014-09-12 00:40:00 One risky method. Find a way to bring up the topic of (for example) putting petrol in the car, laugh at the very Idea that SWMBO could possibly do it herself in such a way as to cause anger at your lack of faith, watch her do it just to prove you wrong.... Of course I'm single these days, my ex is off pumping her own gas elsewhere. dugimodo (138)
1383728 2014-09-12 01:27:00 Have used CRC 808 silicone spray for many years now. No problems, no mess , just do what kenj does with a piece of cardboard or cloth around the area you are spraying. BobM (1138)
