The ability to use it as either laptop or tablet appeals to Symbol. As I said, she dislikes touch screens. I don't think much of the either. Ok when you have young hands, but I find I type most things twice over by correcting typos. :(

Only women understand other women :)

I say get her a laptop, they are better suited to using mice and playing solitaire :)

On my Surface Pro I can pick and choose between keyboard/mouse and touchscreen, depending on what is more convenient. It's usually one or the other. ;)

1383106 2014-09-02 18:13:00 If it has to have a keyboard why not a laptop or a netbook.
Netbook is kind of hard to get nowadays (correct me if I am wrong). Most of my classmates either carry a full-sized laptop or use a tablet; I am the only one with a netbook in the classroom :o

That seems like extra crap to worry about if you are going for the simplicity and convenience of a tablet. I would have thought a cheap laptop would be better in that situation?

Ever tried snuggling up on a couch with a laptop? You definitely want a tablet then. And all you have to do is fold the keyboard back ;)

Rather snuggle up to SWMBO than a laptop or a tablet :)

I regularly snuggle on the couch with my fiance sans laptop or tablet. Have gotten lots of work done sitting on the couch with a laptop sans fiance....

Just sayin...
