1382563 2014-08-27 09:11:00 How long ago was that?

I met my first ever real live Russian who was also headed to a summer camp while I was in the hotel in New Jersey waiting to be placed in a summer camp. That was in 1991. Prior to that the only place I'd ever seen a Russian was on the news. These days is pretty normal for Russians to travel outside of the motherland.

About 1998 from memory. My understanding was that back then it was hard to get out of Russia, let alone into America, however it seems it could be done. :)

By the way, funny it should happen to be mentioned, strange as it may seem, contrary to popular belief, my good friend has a travel agency who deal with Camp America (http://www . campamerica . co . nz) . She gives damn good rates and has an awesome star agent to handle enquiries . PM me if you have an enquiry and I'll put you onto her . Mention my name for the best deal .

PS -this season is over, but it's a very good idea to start booking now for next year cos spaces are limited .

It was hard, and unusual back then which is why I was amazed to meet my first live person from Russia.

1382566 2014-08-28 05:03:00 As I mentioned, "blue" states are much better than "red" states: New York state is a "blue" state, with a lot of regulations and supervision.

"Red" states, like Idaho, Florida, and Texas might as well be a different country.

But hey if you don't find me credible, work wherever you want. I heard El Salvador and Papua New Guinea are looking for workers.
