| 1396020 | 2015-03-08 20:56:00 | Hi peeps So we have our main site where all our servers are with 100 other staff. All logged into the domain. Every now and than we have to to set up a temporary site (4 months) for some users when we can fit them all into the main site. Problem I am facing is how to give the offsite people access to the shared folders on servers on the main site. Dropbox is not really an option since some folders are above the 2GB size. And most people use Macs for their work, and our vpn software only works with windows. Anyone here faced a similar issue and found a solution? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Ron |

Some of the better adsl routers support secure site to site VPN, although I havnt tried it via 2 routers . Citrix/TS/whateveritscallednow is a good solution, but not cheap to buy & then buy licenses for it, and then buy compatible office licenses :groan: Or a NAS & open it up to the internet (and hope it doesnt get hacked into) Server 2011 Remote Web Workplace is another option . It may be a bit slow (?) blogs.technet.com |

VPN the two together (OpenVPN GUI in the router will do *all* the hard work these days) then setup some custom routes to point the correct IP ranges across the VPN. *Super* easy, can be done from start to finish in an hour flat. |
