1395834 2015-03-06 10:10:00 I am using Windows XP Pro SP3 with IE8. At present I am getting an intermittent blocking message across the top of the internet window and am unable to load a particular website but am able to load up another website. I have already reinstalled IE8 with no change. Can anybody help? TIA Spooky spooky (4241)
1395835 2015-03-06 10:45:00 IE8 is getting a bit ancient now, install another browser and try that. I think firefox still supports XP. Otherwise maybe give us some details of the message & website. dugimodo (138)
1395836 2015-03-06 19:00:00 Yup I think quite a few sites will stop working with IE8. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1395837 2015-03-06 19:15:00 IE8 is the new IE6, you're doing us developers a favour by not using it ;) pcuser42 (130)
1395838 2015-03-07 01:19:00 The message I am getting is as follows "To help protect your secuirty Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors." This website is www.Trademe.co.nz.
The website that I cannot access at all is www.postcrossing.com.
As an aside from this I was able to access www.postcrossing.com from my tablet when I was in range of a wifi connection.

1395839 2015-03-07 01:42:00 It's out of date. Use another browser. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1395840 2015-03-07 02:50:00 Make sure your PC date is set right - it messes with security certificates if it insn't. dugimodo (138)
1395841 2015-03-07 03:41:00 XP is to Old, well the IE8 is anyway.

Just tried the links on a XP, IE8 opened Trademe, but the other site -- Cant connect, yet using FF on the same XP it works fine.

1395842 2015-03-07 04:42:00 Thank you for the pointer. Have tried and yes Trademe loads up with IE8 and Postcrossing loads up with Firefox. Problem solved. Thank you all. spooky (4241)
1395843 2015-03-08 00:04:00 IE8 is the new IE6, you're doing us developers a favour by not using it ;)
