| 416941 | 2005-12-31 21:18:00 | Hello, im currently reformatting a computer for someone its a dell dimension l866r it has win 2k pro on it and I was going to put xp home on it for them. But the first of my problems are is that it doesnt recognize the cd rom drive. All that shows up in disk drives in device manager are Iomega ZIP 100, Maxtor 52049h3 In the BIOS setting under IDE config it shows the maxtor under primeary master and the iomega is under secondary slave. prim slave and sec mas say not installed next to them. The cdrom drive is on the 2nd idecable im pretty sure. Ive changed the settings there to a couple diff and still doesnt detect the drive. The drive gets power. Help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS! |
