| 416835 | 2005-12-31 07:51:00 | Total Commander (Windows Commander). I am having trouble with with TC - most unusual. When I try to use it on my desktop it insists on showing me the configuration options first. I tried to remove the program for a clean installation but the uninstall would not work. So I followed the instructions for a manual removal. While I was about it I down loaded the latest version which installed on my laptop with no effort - but I was not able to install it on the desktop (both are XP). Eventually I just copied the new version from my laptop to my desktop. Worked fine except that it still insists on showing me the configuration options page first. I suspect this is a windows problem. I did use Register Mechanic and every other of the umpteen virus chasers etc. I have - and found stuff to get rid of but it made no difference. All suggestions welcome. Tom |
