| 416678 | 2005-12-30 18:14:00 | I bought a Geforce FX5600 from this company and within the two year period I had it its begun bluescreening on me. I took it back to the store of original purchase and they wouldn't do anything for me. So since it had a three year warranty on it I thought I'd just go on gainwards website and get them to refurb. the card. Well little to my surprize they backed outta the united states. I was wondering if any of you have had similar problems. Its kinda getting me frustrated and I tryed using the german website (in english) but they wouldnt give me an RMA #. Can anyone help me? :( | Buggs156 (9504) | ||
| 416679 | 2005-12-30 18:38:00 | Hi Buggs156 and welcome to PressF1. I assume you're in the United States, which makes any advice we give probably irrelevant. In NZ consumers are protected by the CGA (Consumers Guarantees Act) which means that in your situation, the original store of purchase should sort out the problem for you - whether it be repair, replace, or refund, at their discretion. Your best bet is to see if there is a similar protection act in the US, and then go back to the store of purchase - they should do something about it for you, especially if it is still under warranty. Failing that, it may be worth contacting Gainward's HQ in Taiwan (gainward.com.tw ???) and see if they are willing to help. |
