Yes, I do. And that's one way I compare speeds. It's very good if the modem refuses to connect when you start up the PC, but it will with this installed.

Fastest speeds with comparable line speeds came from:

Xnet (Plans: More expensive plans)
Telecom Xtra (Plans: Go Express, Pro and above)
Those were comparing things like line speed, gaming speed, down and up etc. Now that's good that you're getting good similar speeds for your location, but I guess New Zealand is smaller so it will have better coverage than Australia.

416912 2008-08-10 10:19:00 Hi J19000 I've looked up your posts, you seem to be pretty Telecomcentric (exclusivley)????

My "Expensive" Xnet connection with a similar limit Would be $100 with telephone thrown in, how much is your combined total?

Mind you the if I don't use the limit no worries, I only pay for what I get. Also no contract, time limitations, or charges for a myriad of phone services.

416913 2008-08-10 21:41:00 j19000, i suggest you tone down your Telecom love a bit in here, this is possibly the worst place for it.

Most of your posts here, and indeed on other forums as well as nzherald.co.nz, are skewed towards Telecom in a positive way, which is why a lot of our members believe you're running spam/covert advertising for Telecom.

Please avoid filling this forum with pro-Telecom posts, one post to say yo9u're happy is fine, but the amount you've been posting is beginning to look a lot like spam.

The two are one and the same, I honestly cannot see any difference there. ;)

I don't "love" Telecom, it's OK. I just accept the speeds as being great. Besides, I'm leaving this confounded place (website). It was just an opinion...
