2006-01-22 23:24:00 | I'm going to jump in because tomorrow I will have had broadband for one week. I have done around 4GB of traffic and 375MB of it counts toward my 1GB throttle back limit on my $29.95 plan. I'm on xnet.

2006-01-23 07:34:00 | Well I have jumped ship from Telstra/Paradise to IHug. Telstra cut me off early effectvely leaving without a connection for up to 10 days and saying it was Telecoms fault. IHug have said they cannot activate my broadband stuff their until Telecom give them the okay (They have tried 3 times already). However my account on IHug was set up for me while I was on the phone signing up and they gave me all the details I needed. My broadband connection to the exchange is still active and I can log into my IHug account fine. Telstra say they wont charge me because they have killed off my account. IHug say they wont charge me because the line has not been hooked to their system yet and Telecom says it left the broadband line hooked up to Telstra. So basically I have a free connection at full speed with no limits until the deal is done. Once done I will have 80GB per month. 40 peak and 40 off-peak only counting downloaded data so big thumbs up for IHug from me.

2008-08-08 01:09:00 | Even though I'm with Telecom/Xtra, I do not recommend it . I have one main reason, Four of the eight available plans are rip-offs compared to other ISP's . That includes: Basic, Go, Explorer and Adventure . With great providers like Orcon, Inspire, Xnet or Telstraclear, you can get the same speeds and data caps that those 4 plans offer but at a MUCH cheaper price . Max/128Kbps (but the download speed is limited to 2Mbps because of the "bad" upload speed) However, the other four plans are bl***y excellent and are currently the "fastest" in this country out of all other ISP's and their plans (for now) . Those other four are: Go Express, Pro, Pro Advanced and Pro Ultra . Max/Max (6,700Kbps down and between 530-700Kbps upload) . Those plans are expensive, but awesomely fast and will not let anyone down . The peak hours with traffic do not interrupt the speeds, and Youtube has no buffering, so you can watch a clip without you having to wait - It's the ultamate . Unfortunetely all these "Bad" criticism comes from users who have been on lower plans which are rip-offs . I'm on the "Pro" plan by the way $79 . 95 a month at 15GB (Wired) . So thus, the for "excellent" fastest plans: Go Express, Pro, Pro Advanced and Pro Ultra are wicked expensive, but it's worth it . Other ISP's suffer through these speeds, until Telstraclear get's their act along to bring this "fastest" Broadband . Anyway, I give Telecom Broadband about a 6 . 5/10 "Fair" . I also don't care less about if they're helpful, it comes down to quick Broadband . Please respond if you have an opinion .

Even during net traffic, the speeds pretty much remain the same . I'm on one of those plans (thankfully) which is "Pro" 15GB and my results usually appear as: Download Speed: 6556Kbps Upload Speed: 563Kbps But based on a test I did five minutes ago, this is my speed: . speedtest . net/result/306818228 . png" target="_blank">www . speedtest . net |

2008-08-09 06:59:00 | Isn't it a bit suspicious that every post j19000 has made is about promoting telecoms expensive broadband, and nearly every post has a similar format. Those plan are rubbish and overpriced anyway. I get way better quality on xnet and use 30 GB for only $67/month.
