| 416826 | 2005-12-31 06:35:00 | Problem is when I try to download a .reg file from a web site quicktime gets run and I end with a broken qt logo in the middle of the screen. Happens with IE and FF so it seems I have a registry assignment problem but I have run searches and can't find it. A Google search finds this problem occurring with .exe downloads and suggests removing a registry entry but this entry is specifically for exe files and I don't have it. Just wondered if someone has a ready solution for this? TIA. (XP Pro SP2 recent fresh install). |

I tried downloading on another m/c that doesn't have QT on it and the file got downloaded with . mp3 added to the end of its name and WMP tried to play it! So guess my main m/c added . qt to it and tried to run it with QT! Got me beat . Anyway, just out to a NY party so have a good one yourself! |
