2006-01-02 20:52:00 | How do I ? Multiple pictures in Excel cells, one picture per cell. Each picture has an individual name. Each picture has a hyperlink attached. I want to display the hyperlink in an adjacent cell. This can be done with the mouse quite easily, but I would like to insert this into a macro. Has anyone any ideas please.

2006-01-02 23:33:00 | What you do is click tools, macros, record, then a small box comes up click record, then do what you want the macro to do, then click stop. Thats should work HTH

2006-01-03 01:15:00 | sorry that doesn't work. There is a column of "pictures" with a hyperlink attached to each picture. Pictures are named "Picture 50", "Picture 75", etc. No two names are the same as far as I can see, neither any two hyperlinks. Recording the macro the way you suggest inserts the particular picture name for that cell. This is too specific. I want a general case picture name so that I can insert the macro into a loop & progress down the list to extract the hyperlink into a readable form. Hope that explains it better!!! ttfn brian

I'm guessing you're developing something in Excel, when another product would probably do it better / easier. I'm thinking some kind of web page generator might be better suited. What are you trying to accomplish exactly? |

2006-01-04 00:47:00 | I have a list taken from a name database. There are about 500-1000 lines - one line per name. Each name has a button attached on the row, the button is indvidual to each name, & there is a hyperlink attached to the button giving a reference to the possible groupings of the names. I want to display these hyperlinks totally instead of just when the pointer hovers over the button, so that I can sort the list. This can be done with the mouse, with a combination of left & right clicks. The problem is the time taken. To automate with a macro is the way, but what I don't know & don't seem to be able to find is how to get mouse right clicks in to a macro. For instance there is a Hyperlink:CopyHyperlink method using left & right clicks. When recorded in a macro this becomes just Copy, with no reference to Hyperlink. Also when selecting the button its reference becomes the "picture 80" for instance quoted previously. This is discrete to one line, & I need the general case object for all lines. This may be to use Shape, but I have not yet found that solution. Still puzzled after another 2 hours yesterday. And another Telecom line outage. It breaks about every five minutes with this wind!!! ttfn brian
