| 417309 | 2006-01-02 02:33:00 | Would anyone know which online pc places sell USB 2.0 pocket drives. Those drives that don't need it's own power source, just the USB port, and can hold large amounts of data. I'm thinking between 20-100 gig. NOT external hard drive. |

| 417310 | 2006-01-02 03:40:00 | Dick Smiths have a 20gb model (XH8523) at $238 (I've had one for about a year - really handy) and a 40 gb model (XH8255) for $328. You can also get just a case at about $58 (XH6768) and put your own drive in (2.5" notebook drive) but it is bigger and probably a more expensive way to go. | andy (473) | ||

Might as well get a 40GB Ipod at those prices - suspect the transfer speed insn't flash, but then you also get a big IPOD. I used my 40GB one all the time, and doubles as a backup / transfer drive... |

You can also buy their docking stations for $8. Thats what I want!!! You can also get them printed and custom made for you as well like with your name, if you really wanted to. So I'd go to that website, also google (google.co.nz) USB Flash Drives and visit ebay (http:) and trademe (http://trademe.co.nz). ~Matt |

I know somebody who's got an 80 gig one. I can't remember asking him how much he paid for it, but I can imagine it was around the $400 mark then. Are these prices gonna decline soon do you think? |

| 417315 | 2006-01-02 05:34:00 | Your prices are in $US. To convert to $NZ, multiply by 1.4663. ($NZ 1.00 = US 68c at present) |

| 417317 | 2006-01-02 07:48:00 | Why buy from dicksmith? You can get a 40 GB 2.5 hard drive for around $100. (Look in pricespy). Then buy a case and put it together, case cost about $15. I managed to get a 40 GB model from trademe for $100. | STi (8857) | ||
| 417318 | 2006-01-02 08:04:00 | Trademe is always an option, I got both my 40GB 2.5" HDD and case from Trademe, the HDD costed $100 and the case $20, total shipping was $10 (they were all new too, the manufacture date for the HDD was even this year too). And when you add these cost up, its definitly one of the cheapest mobile 40GB HDD you can buy, even cheaper than 512MB flash drives. Problem with buying these from trademe is the risk of bad handling from the post and the warranty as well :( . But if you're lucky then you can definitly save your self some big bucks. | CCF (6760) | ||
