| 418141 | 2006-01-04 08:07:00 | For no apparent reason, Internet Explorer 6 on one of our PCs has stopped connecting to anything. Some might say that is the best thing that could happen to it, but, alas, sometimes you have to use it. It is not a general connectivity issue, as Firefox and Outlook both work fine. With IE, if you enter a URL and hit enter, it just goes off into never-never land and never returns - no time out, just the little Windows symbol waving at you in the corner. All the settings look OK to me, and I haven't changed anything that I am aware of, so what could be happening? :badpc: |

| 418147 | 2006-01-04 18:52:00 | I found a change of settings in MSN Messenger had shut down connectivity to IE for me . EVERY time I goto MSN Messenger I have to re-install it . I lose my . Net Passport and the connection to my router and modem (DSL) every time . It's nutty and even though I steer far away from IE . . I need it for Windows Updates . I never lose connectivity with FireFox or Gmail or Hello or anything else I have . I just attribute it to bad code or a shift in the time/space continuim and just iggy it as best I can . Having three user names in MSN's e-mail has an interesting twist too . . . my primary s/n loses the . Net Passport, but the other two don't . What's with that? |
