418885 2006-01-07 02:52:00 How do you save a PowerPoint presentation to CD, DVD or video? A friend showed me one that she has done and saved on her laptop, but says she cannot save it otherwise. Some people have said it is simple, straightforward etc but she has had no success. Appreciate your help. katharinem (3459)
418886 2006-01-07 03:11:00 Assuming you want to play it back on a DVD player attached to a TV?

The quick and simple way is to open your presentation, the "save as" and under "file of type" select .jpg from the menu.

Then save to a separate directory on the computer, where it will save as a separate .jpg image for each slide.

Using your CD or DVD burner software (whatever you have and use at the monemt) save these files to a CD or DVD, and standard DVD player should play them as images again.

You will lose some of the transition effects etc, as its just a basic way of conversion.

On the other hand, if you only want t save it onto a CD or DVD to take it to another computer, just burn a copy of the presentation from the hard drive to the CD/DVD burner. The .ppt file is just a data file like any other Office file, but just like any other Office file you cannot directly save it to an optical disk. You must burn a copy after it's saved to the hard drive.

As we don't know just what you want to do, its difficult to suggest any more at this stage

418888 2006-01-07 05:46:00 Looks like this (www.geovid.com) will do it. Then you can use Nero/Nerovision to burn it.

According to download.com it isnt free, but there arent any limitations either.

But it costs $199 $US most probably to buy it?

Registering must add something extra to it.
