418574 2006-01-05 19:39:00 i scanned my pc with norton a few times and it found a trojan but it cant remove it so i downloaded AVG and i scanned it again and it says

trojan horse downloader.small.21.q
its an infected inbedded object

then it says down at the bottom "subject object is located inside the archive and cannot be healded"

AVG is not able to remove it from this location and you will need to disable System Restore and reboot your computer. After rebooting run AVG again then re-enable system restore.

For instructions on how to disable and re-enable system restore have a look here:

418577 2006-01-05 19:59:00 thanks for your replies, will this get rid of it then. sure i wont lose anything. will this take me to a previous date on my computer or what robert_allen90 (9496)
418578 2006-01-05 20:23:00 It will not take you to "a previous date", it will simply remove all restore files relating to previous dates as they are infected and should never be used in that infected condition anyway.

New clean restore points will be created from now on.
