| 418603 | 2006-01-05 23:50:00 | I recently installed a copy of Windows ME onto my Linux computer (for Wine), and I've set the broadband up. However, I can access Google and do one search only and then it does a "Cannot find server" error page. The way to fix this is to logout and to login again. How can I fix this permanently? | tony_young480 (4942) | ||
| 418604 | 2006-01-06 00:34:00 | Uninstall Windows ME. :D It looks as if it is properly doing a DNS lookup so you get the first connection, then using a cached IP address which is wrong but not an "error" (127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 ?) As always, from your root session (Ctrl/Alt/F2) do tail -20 /var/log/messages after it has given the "server not found" to see if that will give you a clue. |
