419491 2006-01-09 22:30:00 I'm away from home and the only connection I have here is a sattelite connection, I am trying to use Skype but there is a lot of delay and echo, even though this is suppose to be broadband connection - is that normal? Balagani (9574)

Long answer:

Satilite is a heck of a round trip, programs that depend on low latency run very badly over it. Examples of this are VPNs, Terminal Services, Online gaming, and Voice Over IP.

It's just a *really* big loop, there is no way around this.
