| 1357678 | 2006-01-10 10:42:00 | check your settings in OE incase "establish a secure connection" (or whatever it is) is enabled for recieving - because that won't work on xtra. if you imported your settings from OE straight into thunderbird it would cause the same problem. If you could post the exact error message OE gives you that would help |

| 1357679 | 2006-01-10 18:07:00 | Agent has a good point - what actually happens when you try to receive mail. Is it attempting to login to the mail server, does it give an error message. Also when did the problem start, has it never worked or was it working at one stage and then stopped. If so can you recall anything you may have installed or changed that may have caused it. Have you ever had any other Anti-virus or firewall programs installed. Have you ever installed any web accelerator type programs. Check again your account settings in Outlook, specifically username all lower case and Incoming server is pop3.xtra.co.nz In Outlook account settings select More Settings and under the Advanced Tab you need to select your connection type depending on whether you are using dialup or broadband. Have you considered trying a system restore back to a date when it was working normally. |
