420243 2006-01-12 01:20:00 I'm making a new version of my Shutdown program but this time I'm including a hibernation feature.

What I need from you, the general public are people to test this program on various Windows OS's.

I need people using Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2k, and Xp SP1 and SP2.
Those are the only OS's this program should theoretically support.

I need you to test all four shutdown options.

Shutdown
Restart
Logoff
and Hibernate

I'm asking you because I only have a XP SP2 system so I cannot test with other OS's and plus I'm programming on it ;)

Place feedback in the same thread please.

I have used your program and as a thank you I would be willing to test it. I am running Win XP Pro SP2.

Let me know.

420245 2006-01-12 01:59:00 Just let me know what os you need tested

I have 98, 98se, 2k which could all go on the spare machine I have (though 2K could be a hassle coz it only a K6)

Ooops and the laptop has XP SP1

420247 2006-01-12 02:12:00 Thank you Bob,

Your little program works a treat. I use it quite often and works without a hitch all the time.

So I can test new one if you would like, but I'm using XP Home SP2, which I imagine you have already tested.

Still, if you would like another beta tester for it, let me know.

420248 2006-01-12 02:26:00 I'd prefer as many people to test it, since you all have different hardware configurations than mine. I've only basically tested it, so the more the merrier.

Oh, for those using Hibernate, make sure its enabled in the power options :xmouth:

420249 2006-01-12 02:29:00 Oops...I should mention that I also have some machines lying around home running 98SE and ME as well. In addition to my XP Pro SP2. Tukapa (62)
420250 2006-01-12 03:38:00 OK, works on 98 (first edition - no hibernate)

Am still in testing with XP SP1 but so far its doing what it should.

Will post back if I find any error/bug/fault.
