| 420195 | 2006-01-11 22:48:00 | Yahoo Messenger does support webcams but no audio. I thought Yahoo messenger for Mac supports audio as well? ( or I thought it did back in 2003?) |

| 420196 | 2006-01-12 00:21:00 | I've been fighting with cross platform video conferencing for a bit now, Last I heard was Yahoo still had no audio, There was a version of AIM you could (with a little fudging) get to work with ichat. I think trillian pro can do video to ichat too. But what I got to work was a program called ineen (http://www.ineen.com). They have essentially rebranded xten's eyebeam program, locked it to their service (which is free as long as you don't want to call a real phone) and given it away. Voice on it's own was fine, and video was tolerable, but there was a bit of tweaking to get a smooth connection. (damn telecom and their 128k uploads) We got a 3 way video conference between Hamilton, AK, and Wellington to run, on OSX 10.4, XPPro SP2, and Win2K. The video was not as good as the video I've used with messenger to messenger, or skype 2. But it damn well worked between OSX and Windows, and was free. So I was happy. -Qyiet |
