2006-01-10 05:52:00 | every second or so my NIC's status keeps changing like: 10Mbps 100Mbps unplugged 100Mbps (10 seconds later) unplugged 10Mbps aquiring network address 100Mbps (10 seconds later) unplugged 100Mbps unplugged 100Mbps ect.... its annoying me to no end. the cable connecting the 2 comptuer is my special 20m cat6 cable which up till 2min ago was working perfectly it was connected via my switch, but that was sayign it wasnt connected at all [edit] now its happening more rapidly

2006-01-10 06:07:00 | Have you checked to make sure the cable isn't the problem? e.g the wires havent come loose in the RJ45 plug? | Pete O'Neil (6584) | |

2006-01-10 08:14:00 | i blame my cpu/ram/mobo i think it was caused when i changed the cas timings on my ram from 3.0 to 2.5 changing it back to 3.0 fixed it, and changing it to 2.0 fixed it. although now my ram is onyl runnign at 166mhz instead of 200mhz, then again 166 is my fsb so its not like im missing out on anythign, or am i?

2006-01-10 09:38:00 | try setting your ram to auto detect (eg standard) if it still happens try another lan cable, then lan card

2006-01-10 11:42:00 | I guess changing your ram latency and also upping your ram to 200mhz was probably also speeding up the PCI bus which could cause the NIC to go mad | Agent_24 (57) | |
2006-01-10 23:06:00 | my ram usualy runs at 200mhz, but when i changed the timings for some reason it just went down to the fsb, but aslong as it work now, im happy =D | Mirddes (10) | |
