420455 2006-01-12 09:10:00 In the nvidia display drivers, there is a display optimisation wizard. I ran this and it set it up to apparantly how your colours should look.

Well, after doing it, the colours are horrible. I pressed cancel, but it didn't revert to original. Didn't when I pressed 'reset to default' either.

How do I make the colours go back to what they where?

Trying to change my colours because I am playing Dungeon Siege 2 lan with my brother right next to me. I look at his screen, and the colours seem great, where as mine looks... washed out.

I flicked through the different colour modes on the monitor, and noticed that helped somewhat, but were not quite right still. So I tried the nvidia wizard, but it ruined the colours.

Any recomendations? I see a custom rgb mode on my monitor, is there some 'standard' values that people use for general colour goodness?

Thanks

420456 2006-01-12 10:06:00 Why did you touch the Display Optmization tool in the first place.
In the Color Correction window settings should be as follows.
Apply Color Changes,Desktop,All Channels
Digital Vibrance off.
Brightness and Contrast 100%, Gamma 1.00 Image sharpening off. Color Profil, Standard mode.

420457 2006-01-12 19:33:00 I have 2 monitors, both on 9300k, the old one (philips 107t) looks great, but the new one (philips 109B65) looks washed out. That is the reason why I touched it. I thought by running the wizard it would take me through steps that would optimise the colour, but it turned out worse.

Will have a look at that stuff when I get home, thanks very much.

To improve colour on my monitor, would I change the colours through the monitor itself, and not through any software?

420458 2006-01-12 23:31:00 Yes to your last question if what I posted above dosen't work. I have a Philips 109Es and have never touched the colour settings since I got it 2 years ago. It was set up by the dealer.
