| 420659 | 2006-01-13 06:59:00 | Can't get Disk Defragmenter to work - at 62% analysing, this error message comes up - The scan has been cancelled because an error occurred in file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\DRWTSN32.LOG Tried Diskeeper - same error message comes up, uninstalled diskeeper, Tried Defragmenter in Safe Mode, same error message comes up.. Can anyone help? It's driving me nuts. |

| 420662 | 2006-01-13 07:30:00 | Boot into safe mode (click on link if "how to" steps needed) = . symantec . com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo . nsf/docid/2001052409420406" target="_blank">service1 . symantec . com , then go to Start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup , and run disk cleanup . Then enable CHKDSK, = Click your "My Computer" in the start menu, R-Click the C: Drive, go down and click on properties in the drop menu . When the properties folder opens, click on the Tools Tab, The first item in the list is to do CHKDSK . Put a check mark in all the boxes/start/yes/apply/ok . The PC should be rebooted in safe mode to do the scan . Then run Disk Defrag from safe mode . After booting into safe mode , go to Start/all programs/accessories/system tools/Disk Defragmenter .
