| 421130 | 2006-01-15 02:29:00 | I have actually used SpellBound for some time with no problem in Firefox 1.5 Unfortunately my computer died and I have just acquired a new one (Windows XP SP2) After successfully downloading Spellbound, while the program does work as a spell checker, I am experiencing the following annoying problem: When I check a piece of text which is longer than the Spell checking box can accommodate in one screen, initially there is a scroll bar on the Right side of the box (as there should be) but as soon as I actually start to correct spelling errors, the scroll bar disappears!! And I am therefore no longer able to scroll down. The program does in fact continue spell checking but when it gets to a place in my text beyond the initial window, I can no longer actually read the context of the word (in my text) that is being corrected. Spellbound does indicate what the the misspelled word is and offers a suggestion (as it should) but since it has gone beyond the display in the initial box, I cannot read my own text and sometimes its not apparent which of the choices is appropriate. As stated above I previously had spellbound running properly with Firefox 1.5 on a Win XP SP2 machine, so I am really at a loss as to how to correct this annoyance. As far as I am aware I do have the latest version specifically I am using the same version that worked before. Uninstalling >reboot>re-installing Spellbound has made no difference. I would be very grateful for any suggestions . :help: Thank you. |
