If I use Partition Magic 8.0 to increade C at the expense of the others is this safe/easy/swift as claimed or is it chancing my luck , can the experts please enlighten . regards |

| 420900 | 2006-01-14 09:49:00 | Partition Magic works best if you do one task at a time. e.g. In your case, 1st resize D so that you create an unallocated space between C: and D: It will move all the data on D: on the fly to the remaining space on D: You may not need to reboot but do it anyway. Then check your data on D: Then resize C: to take up the unallocated space. If you want to resize all your drives use the same method but start with the partition at the end and work back to C:. I know that PM will do all of this as a batch, but I know from past experience that errors are more likely to occur. Ive done this at least 50 times myself with no problems and no data loss. Ian |

| 420901 | 2006-01-14 19:23:00 | Just tried to resize a 135 GB C: (only 20% used) yesterday with Partition Magic 8 but unfortunately was not successfull. Reason: Too many errors! Tried a dozen times but still could not do it! This HDD is a 160 GB with 2 partions, C: 135 GB NTFC) & D: 6 GB FAT). Finally, I gave up and re-installed OS and created the partitions I wanted. |
