422538 2006-01-19 21:53:00 Thanks to a recent post, I calculated a new PC I'm building needs at most 363 watts, a socket 939 AMD PC with nVidia 7800GTX:

Having a quiet PC is my highest priority. I'm re-using a Zalman Reservator, water cooling, to eliminate the CPU and video fans. If I could it over again, I would have got ThermalTake's Tai Chi case

I'm thinking about using one of the following power supplies.

* Enermax EG495P-SFMA24P NoiseTaker, 485W ATX PSU, about $157
www.coolergiant.com

* Zalman 460W ATX PSU, Active PFC, about $192

Anyone have any opinions?

Both look fine as far as amps etc to me.
Read some reviews on them and pick the best.

422541 2006-01-19 23:58:00 Thanks Tazz and pctek .

I'm leaning toward the Enermax, since they have a good reputation with power supplies .

Zalman has a good reputation regarding quiet cooling, but I'm not so sure about their psu .

Cheers
