422150 2006-01-18 10:45:00 PC Inspector File Recovery (www.pcinspector.de). I've managed to recover files and file fragments after two formats and fresh OS installations. The info wasn't very useful, as the files I wanted were corrupted (after a system crash and burn and one re-install), but it was pretty impressive all the same, a simple dilete should be a doddle.

Their Smart Recovery utility is for recovery from flash and removable media, very handy for rooting out lost/deleted photo's.

422153 2006-01-19 01:08:00 OK, had a bit of a search here, and came up with a program called File Recover. It finds and recovers the document. But when i open it, all i see is boxes as the words, like little squares that replace the letters. Is there anyway to get past this.

The document was written in word 2003.

422154 2006-01-19 01:21:00 It has recovered a file. Look at it with a text editor (Notepad ... ) , not Word. Graham L (2)
