| 422594 | 2006-01-20 08:20:00 | I like the theory, apart from the fact, that at the moment I am covered in dust from making furniture. Well you are just the man I want then - I have a question for you if you are a furniture expert. :) I have a solid rimu roll-top desk and a couple of the drawers are sticky. Despite rubbing candle wax on the wood and even sanding it down a little it still gets harder to open and shut the drawers. I know the reason for this - it's the wood expanding or whatever, I just don't know how to fix it permanently. Should it be sanded down a little more? I'm not sure of the proper terminology but the drawers have grooves in them that slide on plastic fixed runners. Ta. |

If the drawer is binding, you have to ascertain where and remove some material . Can't say I am familiar with that type of runner . |
