| 422479 | 2006-01-19 11:38:00 | My cmputer had 64 MB of RAM. I bought 256 MB and added it to the existing one and now I have 352 MB. Is this ok or I have to do some thing to make it more effective. Help. fkapepa |

If you only had 64 (or 96 MB) of RAM initially I am guessing you are running Windows 98? That OS should be quite responsive with the new RAM now but if you are still having speed problems, perhaps you could clarify your question a bit more with further details. :) | Jen (38) | ||

| 422485 | 2006-01-19 22:56:00 | If it's the comp that you mentioned in the previous thread running Win XP you might find even with 320mb of ram it will run a bit slow (256mb is the 'minimum' to run XP comfortably). If you can afford it you could purchase another 256mb ram stick and ditch the 64mb stick, so that you'll have 512mb total. | Shortcircuit (1666) | ||
