422610 2006-01-19 04:39:00 I am wanting to buy a computer so that I can play good games on it. This computer will not be connected to the internet. Any patches that I need, I was thinking that I could use my mothers computer(what I am typing on now), to download these patches, and then transfer them onto my games computer by CD,floppy disk etc. Will this work, or will this computer have to be connected to the internet? I am not wanting to play games over the internet, so that is not a problem for me. Do you have to register these new games online, before you can play them? Tony Tucker (9565)
422611 2006-01-19 05:16:00 uuuum do you want to be a lot more specific? what game titles are you talking about?

Are you talking about action first person shooters like Battlefield 2, or MMORPG games like World of Warcraft?

Your post is extremely vague to say the least lol.

422613 2006-01-19 05:43:00 You can download manual patches for BF2 and Farcry I know for sure and can be applied offline. I am guess the others you probably can as well.

Keep in mind most(not all) patches for the games you have listed are for ONLINE play which you won't be doing anyway.

But yes you can download on your mothers and transfer via CD USB thumb drive etc to your PC.
