2006-01-19 02:48:00 | I have used Ctrl/Alt/Del for years to see what my computer is up to. But suddenly Ctrl/Alt/Del no longer works. Absolutely nothing happens. What have I done? How do I get the thing back? Tom

If it doesnt then something has disabled it as well. Post a hijackthis log (www.merijn.org) Unzip this file, and copy and paste the log here. |

2006-01-19 04:43:00 | I have used Ctrl/Alt/Del for years to see what my computer is up to. Tom Well you have been oblivious to half the stuff that goes on then. Once you've used a very good 3rd party process viewer you become enlightened to how much stuff Windows hides from you.

2006-01-19 04:51:00 | Yes I agrree but it's still a quick and easy way to see if something has started running that you don't want to/don't know about. | mark c (247) | |
2006-01-19 04:57:00 | Probably like me, Tom long ago acquired the habit of using Ctrl/Alt/Del not to find out what was going on, but to stop whatever was going on. It was the step before the big red key marked "ON/OFF". | Graham L (2) | |
2006-01-19 06:04:00 | I'm not on my box at the moment and aren't sure if it was Windows or Linux but I remember a setting to disable Ctrl/Alt/Del | mikebartnz (21) | |
2006-01-19 06:42:00 | If you are running Windows XP, try applying the following keys to launch Windows Task Manager: Ctrl + Shift + Escape. Perhaps (highly unlikely) the keys on the keyboard are stuck? Cheers :)
