1396777 2015-03-19 02:41:00 We recently had problems with a flatmate and had to ask him to leave.
Before leaving he reset the passwords on the computer in our living room we are now unable to use it:crying.
I am still able to access the bios as he did not have the supervisor or user passwords so was unable to change that.
The computer is running Windows 7 ultimate. Is there any way to unlock the computer.

1396779 2015-03-19 03:21:00 Piece of cake :D

Theres several ways,, one way use dedicated software, then it takes only a couple of minutes. BUT if you dont have any, all you need is a Windows Repair or Install CD/DVD and a couple of commands.

Not going to write it all out, so have a look at the following, click on the picture > and follow through.

Edited: Similar method but little shorter how-to-reset-your-forgotten-windows-password-the-easy-way/ (www.howtogeek.com)

Dont bother trying to use a password cracker that can take ages, total waste of time, simply reset it.

1396782 2015-03-19 06:19:00 Jump on another W7 PC and make one. It has to be the same as yours Eg; if yours is X64 Bit then the repair disc has to be made on a X64.

Any more Ideas Personally never tried this on a restricted account, but if you can get into the Computer in that account try making a bootable CD as per the other post.

The other way I was going to suggest to make a Third party Bootable CD wont work on XP computers. :(
