2015-03-18 23:39:00 | I see Windows 10 is being touted as a free upgrade even for those with pirated versions of Windows. Is this Free version going to be an upgrade disc or will we be able to do a clean install does anyone know? Even though I don't like Windows 8.1 I will be upgrading to 10 if I can do a clean install.

2015-03-19 00:03:00 | Its only available free as an upgrade from Windows 7 and 8. I know it'll be available for download not sure about disc though. | Ninjabear (2948) | |

You had to have a running OS on your computer and then ran the upgrade advisor, which would check your machine for compliance etc, go through the payment then give you the install key. It would then give you the option of creating a USB stick, ISO or burn ISO to disc. You could then do an upgrade of your existing system or start fresh with a formatted drive. |

2015-03-19 00:31:00 | "Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise" Id bet some of the pirated versions are Enterprise. Also has to be 7 SP1, or 8.1 (not 8), and have WInupdates enabled (so perhaps it will come down through updats) Id like to know how it will be delivered as well, as a downloadable ISO, or via Winupdates, or via the MS Store . And will it work for those who install a demo or cracked version of 7 ?, or just those who used the same install key on multiple PC's What this does mean , is that XP users can just install pirated Win7 & then get the free update. In a bizarre way its encouraging Piracy Perhaps MS should have allowed XP to getthe free update as well.

2015-03-19 00:52:00 | if they do it as the way Cyabro posted, then that will be easy, other wise if they did it Via the store its also do-able, just a bit of mucking about. When it downloads it stores itself in a hidden folder, from there you can create a ISO file. Done it on W8.1 :) | wainuitech (129) | |
