| 1396196 | 2015-03-11 03:12:00 | I am usually able to back up twice to my 300GB backup partition before I have to go in and delete the oldest back up to keep enough free space. Is this the case for you? |

| 1396204 | 2015-03-11 08:02:00 | No error message, just sits there like a constipated politician (doing nothing) But the widows super dupper fix it programmes tell me that it has error 0x80070003 One possible cause is the SoftwareDistribution folder is corrupted. Try this: In search, type in CMD Right click on cmd, select 'Run as Administrator' Type in net stop wuauserv <press Enter> you'll get a message saying the update service stopped ( or similar) Open The C drive, navigate to c:\windows Look for the SoftwareDistribution Folder. Either rename it to SoftwareDistribution.old or cut / paste to desktop ( as a precaution). Go back to the CMD, type in net start wuauserv. Once confirmed its been restarted, try running windows update again. Assuming its run OK you will see it has never updated. Once its back up and going you can delete the original renamed or moved SoftwareDistribution folder. Note: you HAVE to stop the service as per the commands if you dont you cant do anything with the folder. |
