They have yet to work out that when the majority of the country disagrees with them their world view just might be wrong.

I thought you had gone to have a rest :)

Indeed, how could we waste such talent? :groan:

There are many things the majority has believed in that we now know were wrong. They used to think the earth was flat, that the sun travelled around the earth and that man would never fly. For some reason they also still believe that god exists.

And in terms of the election, the majority didn't vote at all, so we can't actually be sure *what* the majority of the country believes in.

Ummmmm, since when was 48% a majority? I thought you'd have to better 50% Sounds like selective accounting to me. :D

1384432 2014-09-21 05:26:00 I always thought kiwis were not a gullible bunch I'm rethinking that with the election result. How can 48% of the population be so conned? gary67 (56)

That's 48% of people that voted. There is a group the same size that were eligible to vote that didn't, approx 1000000

About the only thing I agree with relating to National was in their advertising, the other parties are in a shambles. If there was a strong alternative the results may have been completely reversed.

People voted and got what they deserved, so they better NEVER complain about any future actions, its their own doing.

1384435 2014-09-21 06:07:00 Certainly Labour was a shambles. Their main problem these days is that there are no longer any cloth caps, and the mines and the mills have all closed

If they return to roots they will be doomed as an anachronism; if they try to jostle for centre, as they have been doing then they will also be doomed by a superior organisation who own the current centre as of right.

Their best bet will be to join the New Zealand First Party and campaign on getting rid of corruption:banana

1384436 2014-09-21 07:07:00 I am looking forward to the blood letting as they choose another labor leader. I hope they choose Robertson because that would assure National a fourth term. prefect (6291)
1384437 2014-09-21 07:34:00 A lot can happen in three years, For you know key could be dead by then, most of his cronies could be gone due to things that "didn't happen", a natural disaster or Key has sold all of NZ and wants to get out to leave naff all for the pickings. wainuitech (129)
