1384936 2014-09-29 23:44:00 I don't have to think again, it's absolutely of no use. What are you going to do with it? At that stage, money is of no physical/practical value other than the number of zeros.

By that thinking, noone needs more than $25k/year. And no PC will ever need more than 640kb of RAM.

If you think that you don't need more than $25K/year, that's fine with me - because you are not living in New Zealand. :D

1384938 2014-09-30 00:20:00 I mentioned cars just for example.

If they are so generous to help their friends, why not just use their over-sized pay packet to help their co-workers who work so hard for him/her (indirectly)?

Why should they? If I was to get well paid for a tough job as the CEO of a big firm why should I give my hard earned pay to my co workers? I'd rather enjoy it for my self and my immediate family. My co workers have their own agendas in life.

I think the minimum salary required to "survive" in Auckland is about 35K a year and that is a no frills existance or worse if you are a single parent trying to raise kids and send them to school.

Its not like theres a job for every person either. If there was then that would be a different matter.

why dont you....seriously. Anything you earn over the min wage, give it to those really struggling, or those without jobs.
Your paypacket (and mine),on an international scale, is vastly inflated. So why not give 3/4 of your pay to workers in 3rd world countries. Im sure they would look at your pay & shake their head in disbelief.

Its all too easy to say why dont others do this & that.

ah, some honesty. Who here gives away their pay rises to co-workers earning less.

Well there is probably not so many jobs for low skilled people but there are definitely a growing number of jobs for highly skilled people.

Maybe become one of them super/angel investors like Branson and Google, (www.hngn.com) or Musk and Bezos (finance.yahoo.com) (Yahoo article -Tesla and Amazon founders) for space exploration projects.

Probably have high end ventures here with Sam Morgan and others to kick start projects.
