1384449 2014-09-21 15:36:00 Under MMP it was a landslide.

A one-party Government ain't supposed to happen under MMP.

To all those who fought for MMP - In your face!!! :) :)

1384450 2014-09-21 19:49:00 Quite interesting that Labour lost alot of Party vote with their voters voting for their Labour candidate and giving their Party vote mainly to NZF

Couple of people I know that have been life long Labour voted National due to the Dot Com show

Labour needs major change if they want to be taken seriously with better candidates like kelvin Davis/Stuart Nash

+1

And the country needs Labour to get there act together quickly. We do need an effective opposition party for the system to work as it should and if they continue to behave as they have in the past they will loose the next election as well.

1384453 2014-09-21 20:29:00 Very interesting as most polls were fairly accurate with the Herald digipoll being the standout

1384455 2014-09-21 22:29:00 Interesting here in Napier Electorate. Labour are rattling on about how wonderful their candidate Nash has done.

In 2011 he was beaten by Tremain by 17337 to 13636 A difference of 3701 votes.

In 2014 he beat Nationals Walford, (not a popular man in the area) 14041 to 10308. A difference of 3733 votes

If you add Conservative's McVicar, (very popular in Napier) 7135 votes, the right end up with 17443 votes. A difference of 3402 votes. In all, pretty well as much as Tremains win in 2011.
