| 1384438 | 2014-09-21 07:57:00 | Rather sorry my vote was wasted on conservatives, the only party prepared to guarantee the outcome of a referendum, that is if we voted for, then that would be enacted. | Cicero (40) | ||

They can focus on poverty all they like, and it is an issue. Is it an election winner? No way. IMO Jo Average kiwi feels alienated by Labour for both that and aligning them self (or appearing to) so closely with the Green party, they would be better off aligning with NZ First. They can blame it on Dirty Politics/Dot Com all they like, but they need to wake up and realise they have some big issues moaning about external factors ain't going to help them. Looks like the youth vote kicked them in the ass also, it's like they didn't realise even if you can get the youth to vote, they are not all going to vote left wing. |

The shareholders made millions even billions for a number of years so that we, the taxpayers, were allowed to put up another billion to upgrade the network, mainly for the large centers. Good business practice, hey! I have heard very little about a long term vision what we could do over and above hanging on the cows tits, except the Greens putting youngsters in front of game machines, which are made from resources which are not from our backyard. :yuck: |

I can hold my head up and say in a years time I didn't vote for the dead in the head party in charge. They have been so lucky the earthquakes saved their butts as they would have just been failures otherwise. | gary67 (56)
| 1384444 | 2014-09-21 10:00:00 | Well I’m not surprised by the results, but I am surprised by the Media Spin. :D Firstly, the Media are touting the election as being the biggest walk over in history, but check the actual numbers. We have been continuously told that the 2011 election was a disgrace because of the low turnout of voters. Then we are told that this election had a great turnout because of the early voting blah, blah blah. Well, as of the night in 2011, a disgusting turnout produced 2,257,336 votes, whilst in 2014 an excellent turnout produced 2,112,552 votes. So a disgusting turnout beats an excellent turnout by 144,784 votes. Then, in 2011 National received 1,058,636 votes, but in 2014 they improved that to 1,010,464 votes. Hang on, that’s 48,172 votes less. So you see, less is more, which explains why a growing deficit makes you richer. National have added a whopping two seats, moving from 59 to 61, loosing one electorate seat but picking three list seats. Big deal. It goes on, but I guess the real winners were those who ignored the whole comedy and went fishing. :D |

Maybe I should have gone fishing too at least then I wouldn't have seen his smugness on the news | gary67 (56)
