1384682 2014-09-24 10:49:00 We all understand that if I move from one carrier to another, say, from Vodafone to 2Degrees, I can bring my Vodafone number, 021-XXXX along with me to 2Degrees and vice-versa.

My question here is, how do I know which mobile phone carrier a particular number belongs? It's 'cause I have unlimited free calls to all 2Degrees.

Is there a way to identify a number?

1384683 2014-09-24 10:59:00 Try txting the number to 300, I think it's the same number (300) for all networks
Should tell you simply if the number is in the same provider network or not
Haven't used it in a while ...

1384686 2014-09-26 23:26:00 I was under the impression you just looked at the first 3 digits... AFAIK 021 = Vodafone, 022 = 2Degrees, 027 = Telecom Agent_24 (57)
1384687 2014-09-26 23:37:00 As I mentioned, one can bring along your old number when changing from one carrier to another. It's all mixed up now. bk T (215)
